Shotover Primary School is a newly built, contemporary learning environment nestled on the banks of the Shotover and Kawarau rivers and in the basin between Coronet Peak and The Remarkables mountain range.
With an enrolment of just over 600 students across the ages of 5 to 13, we pride ourselves on contemporary a modern learning environment with an innovative and focussed outlook. Our staff are highly skilled and work collaboratively to foster a supportive learning experience for our children.
Our classrooms offer a unique and modern learning environment, blending an open plan layout alongside quiet spaces for focused learning.
We endeavour to be aspirational and empowering, offering a diverse range of opportunities for children. Hence our vision of 'creating a climate of possibilities'.

Queenstown by nature, is a multicultural destination, with many nationalities and cultures amongst our community. At Shotover Primary School, we celebrate and champion the diversity of backgrounds and languages within our schooling environment offering dedicated ESOL teachers and opportunities to share our students' unique and wonderful cultures.

Thank you for making Chloe’s time at Shotover School so special once again this year. She truly loved and cherished her experience, and it brought her so much happiness. I believe that the memories she made at Shotover will be an important part of her journey, helping her grow into a kind and well-rounded person.
Even now, after returning to Korea, she still misses Shotover School and Queenstown deeply. Chloe lives in a highly competitive academic environment in Korea, where students are often under pressure to excel. However, Shotover’s approach to education has been an eye-opening experience for me as well. I truly appreciate the way you create a nurturing and joyful learning environment—one that I believe is essential for children at this stage in their lives.

Things you need to Know
Additional Costs
This fee does not cover the cost of any camps, school uniform, sports teams, stationery, music lessons school photos and other non-educational school-based activities.
An enrolment and administration fee of $1250 (including GST) is charged to each student to assist with the initial enrolment process and ongoing administrative support.

Weekly - $500
Termly - $4500
Full Year - $16 000
Fees are in NZD and include GST
